Mike joined Keith and Brian in 2017 to create Lint, Singleton & Stachowski, CPAs, PC. Prior to that, Mike worked at Professional Accounting Services. Some of his roles include audits, management advisory, corporate financial accounting, income tax planning, IRS and other representation, tax research, and tax compliance. He has considerable experience consulting with business owners on all aspects of business and financial planning from the small private companies to the multi-million dollar corporation. His experience also includes financial and tax accounting for mergers and acquisitions, foreign subsidiaries, foreign sales corporations, business valuations, an expert witness in court, accounting software set-up and installation. We provide business valuations for a variety of purposes including estate and gift tax, mergers and acquisitions, marital dissolutions, partnership dissolutions, shareholder disputes, dissention actions, stock-related employee benefits, purchase price allocations (ASC 805-Business Combination), goodwill impairments (ASC 350-Intangibles/Goodwill), fairness and solvency options, transaction pricing studies, bankrupty/reorganizations, S-Corp conversions, buy/sell agreements, built in gain and tax related valuations. He is a trusted business adviser, works with companies to calculate economic damages, fraud prevention, detection and deterrence, and financial statement misrepresentation. He holds a Bachelor’s in accounting and business (with high honors), a Master’s in accounting and taxation (with high honors) from the University of Missouri, and also holds a certificate in financial planning from the University of Missouri. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Accredited in Business Valuations, Certified Valuation Analysis, Certified Financial Forensics, Certified Business Manager, Chartered Global Management Accountant, Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor, is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors. He was nominated and became a member of the 6th Congressional District Tax Reform Advisory Council (Congressman Sam Graves) in January 2006. He also writes for the Missouri Society of CPA’s as well as the Kansas City Star Paper in the business section on various taxation topics.
Mike is married to Michelle. They have 3 beautiful children; Lane, Chloe, and Bryson. Although Mike spends much of his time working, he makes every effort to enjoy time with his wife and kids. They enjoy sporting events, going to the lake, spending time with family and friends, watching movies every now and then, and going on family vacations whenever they can get away.
Mike has been recently selected for a prestigious honor as a CPA by the Kansas City Business Journal.
